Chris' Story

During his final year studying Professional Musicianship, Chris Simpson experienced a pivotal moment that would change the course of his academic and professional journey. A guest lecturer from Harvard and Oxford University, Neill Thew, introduced Chris to the opportunity of pursuing a Master’s in Professional Development.

After completing the program, Chris went on to collaborate with Neill in designing a new course focused on Leadership and Leading Change, tailored for a consortium of UK universities. This marked the beginning of Chris’s journey into leadership development.

It became evident that Chris possessed a unique charisma for educating and mentoring senior leaders, including CEOs, directors, and heads of organisations, guiding them toward significant professional achievements.

Since then, Chris has continued to expand his expertise, earning a range of prestigious certifications, including in Emotional Intelligence, Change Management, Project Management, and Mental Health First Aid, among others.

Professionally, Chris has excelled in working with a diverse range of clients—from leading nonprofit charities and chart-topping music bands to high-profile corporate executives.

He also teaches coaching techniques as part of a master’s module at various UK universities, and serves as the host and producer of The StageLeft Podcast, a platform dedicated to learning, development, and coaching, where he has conducted over 130 in-depth interviews with music industry leaders.

His extensive experience has sharpened his ability to address complex challenges across a variety of professional ecosystems, consistently delivering innovative solutions and exceptional results.
